This Powershift
system is electro-mechanical and therefore does not require any
compressed air bottles or hoses like an air shifter system.
The unique shifter is a linear actuator design (not solenoid)
incorporating a DC motor, spinning up at 25,000 RPM, planetary
gearbox, lead screw arrangement and operates on a PWM (Pulse Width
Modulation) drive system for total control and longevity.
The Powershift
ECU requires a single ignition-on wire to be attached to a
suitable ignition-on supply, like a head light or brake light
+12volt supply wire. There are 2 ring terminal
wires, battery positive and battery negative, that are simply
placed on the battery terminals, then there are 4 interrupt wires
to be connected to the front and rear injector signal wires.
The `F' series ECU is mounted via the supplied bracket to the back
of the horn cover resulting in a neat factory type installation.
The CNC handle
bar bracket is mounted under the left hand switch gear moldings.
The Powershift shifter requires attaching between the drop down
link gear lever and the chassis/frame via the supplied mounting
bracket.
